Shrouded is a project exploring the idea of masking through materials.
Masking is in this case an element of existing in society, we all mask in some way through most days. In this project 3D scans of the faces of 10 individual will be 3D printed and used as moulds for masks made of clay.
The internal face of the mask will be painted a mirror finish, because this is the side that has been formed from the 3D mould it will have the most accurate depiction of features, which due to the mirror finish will be distorted.
